An emphasis on various mobility topics in China's history, present and future in the 10 courses of the Summer Semester ‘17, such as China's One Belt, One Road (OBOR) initiative and the new Silk Road.
The workshop “Trends, Concepts and Challenges of China’s Innovative Railway Transport” in November ‘17 will bring together international actors from different fields to examine the current technological, scientific and economic questions in the context of geopolitical developments and strategies concerning mobility. Railway scientists, administrators, operators and logistics professionals will present and discuss their views on China’s railroad development.
A wider public is to be given an understanding of the subject on the Long Night of the Sciences ‘17 during a variety of input lectures on different mobility experiences in China.
The project’s measures build on the profile of the China Center. They can contribute to a better positioning in the international research environment, as well as to a wider visibility within the TUB. Its results establish foundations for further planned German-Chinese research activities on the topic of mobility change, and its overall objective is to intensify the cooperation between science and research communities, manufacturing practitioners and operation and logistics experts in China and Germany.
